Almirante Marcos A. Zar Airport (ICAO SAVT) serves Trelew, the largest city in the lower Chubut valley, in Argentine Patagonia. It lies about 3 km northeast of Trelew and 17 km from Rawson, the provincial capital. The airport sits at an elevation of 43 m and also operates as a naval air base for the Argentine Navy.

A single concrete runway, 07/25, is 2,560 m long. The passenger terminal covers about 3,500 m² and has parking for 128 cars. London Supply holds the airport concession. In late 2024 it and the Chubut government announced a terminal expansion meant to double pre-boarding and arrivals capacity from 200 to 400 passengers an hour, enough for two aircraft with up to 189 passengers each at the same time.

Traffic is domestic. Aerolíneas Argentinas flies to Buenos Aires Aeroparque several times a day and runs seasonal flights to El Calafate and Ushuaia from October to March. JetSMART began service in April 2025. Flybondi stopped flying to Trelew in 2024 to concentrate on Puerto Madryn, about 65 km away. The airport handled 252,594 passengers in 2016, and 225,824 in the first ten months of 2024, 18.9% below the same period of 2019.
