Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport serves the northern tip of Misiones province, in the tri-border region where Argentina meets Brazil and Paraguay. It sits about 6 km south of the Argentine side of Iguazú Falls, which makes it the main gateway for visitors to the national park.

A single asphalt runway, 13/31, is 3,300 m long and 45 m wide. Traffic is almost entirely domestic, with scheduled flights to Buenos Aires (Aeroparque and Ezeiza) and several provincial capitals. Flybondi also flies a twice-weekly service from Lima. Passenger numbers rose from about 1.1 million in 2018 to 1.57 million in 2019, fell to 355,000 in 2020, and reached 1.5 million in 2024.

The terminal covers about 18,000 m² and has 21 check-in counters, six shops, six food outlets, three boarding gates, two jet bridges and three baggage belts. Aeropuertos Argentina has announced a US$6.5 million expansion, due in two stages during 2026, that adds larger international departure and arrival areas.
