Friday Harbor Airport sits on San Juan Island in Washington's San Juan Islands, just southwest of the town of Friday Harbor. Easy walking distance separates it from downtown. The island has no bridge to the mainland, so the airport is one of its two main links, alongside the Washington State Ferries.

The airport has a single asphalt runway, 16/34, about 3,400 feet long and 75 feet wide, with a 12,500-pound weight limit and medium-intensity LED lighting. It is a US Customs point of entry and sells aviation fuel. Repair and maintenance and flight instruction are also available on site.

Scheduled flights run to Seattle, Bellingham and Anacortes, with charters to other destinations. Kenmore Air and San Juan Airlines carry passengers, and FedEx Feeder flies cargo. Medical evacuation flights also use the field. Most traffic is general aviation and air taxi.
