Boeing Field, officially King County International Airport, lies about four miles south of downtown Seattle at 7277 Perimeter Road South. It opened in 1928 and was Seattle's main passenger airport until Seattle-Tacoma International Airport opened in 1944. The last scheduled airline jet service, Hughes Airwest, ended in 1971.

Today the airport is owned by King County and managed by its Department of Executive Services. It averages about 150,000 takeoffs and landings a year, has more than 150 tenants and is home to various Boeing Company operations. Boeing's 707 prototype, the Dash 80, made its first landing here in 1954. The airport has two runways: 14R/32L, about 10,000 feet long, and 14L/32R, about 3,700 feet long.

Passenger service is small. Kenmore Air flies to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, Eastsound on Orcas Island and Victoria, British Columbia. SeaPort Airlines is listed for Portland and Spokane's Felts Field, and Backcountry Aviation for Bellingham. The county currently charges nothing for parking at the terminal. A paid parking plan that was due to start on October 1, 2026 is on hold, so check the airport's website for any new date before you travel.
