Eugene Airport, also called Mahlon Sweet Field, is the main commercial airport for Oregon's southern Willamette Valley and Lane County. It sits in the northwest of Eugene, about 11 km from the city centre in a straight line, on a site of roughly 2,600 acres. The field is named after Mahlon Sweet, a local car dealer who backed aviation in the city. The current airport opened in 1943 and replaced the Eugene Air Park of 1919, which closed in 1956. United Airlines began scheduled flights in June 1944.

Two asphalt runways serve the field. Runway 16R/34L is 8,009 feet long and runway 16L/34R is 6,000 feet long; the shorter one was added in 2005. The City of Eugene owns and runs the airport. A rescue and firefighting facility opened in 2010, and the field has a dedicated air cargo facility and a general aviation operator.

Traffic reached a record of about 1.72 million passengers in 2023, dipped in 2024 and recovered to about 1.71 million in 2025. Aircraft operations that year totalled 71,666. Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Southwest and United fly scheduled service, mostly to western hubs and leisure cities. Attended parking holds 237 short-term and more than 1,000 long-term spaces, with an overflow lot of 582 spaces.
