Niagara Falls International Airport Guide
Niagara Falls International Airport sits about four miles east of downtown Niagara Falls, New York, at 2035 Niagara Falls Boulevard. It opened in 1928 as a municipal airport with four crushed-stone runways. The airport is a short drive from the falls and from the Canadian border, and it takes diverted flights from Toronto because of its long runway.
Commercial service is small. Allegiant Air flies to Florida, with nonstop routes to Orlando/Sanford, Punta Gorda and St. Petersburg/Clearwater, and seasonal service to Myrtle Beach began in 2025. Spirit Airlines ended its flights in October 2020 after nine years. About 282,000 passengers used the airport in 2017.
The airport shares its airfield with Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, home of the 914th Air Refueling Wing and its KC-135R tankers. The main runway, 10/28, is 9,829 feet long and was extended in 2003. The second runway, 6/24, is 5,189 feet. The terminal is a two-story building dedicated on September 2, 2009. The former terminal now houses the Niagara Aerospace Museum.
