Reno Tahoe International Airport Guide
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is in Reno, Nevada, about 3 miles (5 km) southeast of downtown, at an elevation of 1,346 meters. It opened in 1929 as Hubbard Field. The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, established by the Nevada State Legislature on July 1, 1977, owns and operates the airport and also manages Reno-Stead Airport.
The airport has one terminal with two concourses, B and C, and 23 jet-bridge gates. Southwest Airlines holds the largest market share, at about 40 percent of passengers. Volaris has flown nonstop between Reno and Guadalajara, Mexico, since December 2014.
In 2024 the airport served about 4.8 million passengers, up 6 percent from 2023 and its busiest year since 2008. It recorded about 104,000 aircraft operations in the year ending June 2019. Three concrete runways serve the field: 17R/35L at 11,001 feet (3,353 meters), 17L/35R at 9,000 feet and 07/25 at 6,102 feet. The authority reports service from 10 commercial airlines and more than 20 nonstop destinations.
