Lebanon Municipal Airport Guide
Lebanon Municipal Airport is a city-owned, public-use airport in West Lebanon, New Hampshire, about three nautical miles west of Lebanon's central business district and close to the Vermont border and Interstate 89. Town meeting voters approved buying the land in 1941, and the federal government turned the airport over to the town in June 1944. Northeast Airlines began scheduled service in 1948. The City of Lebanon owns the airport today.
Cape Air has been the scheduled carrier since 2009 under the federal Essential Air Service program. It flies six daily round trips: four to Boston Logan and two to White Plains, New York. Passengers bound for Manhattan connect from White Plains by ground transport to Penn Station. Cape Air has regularly carried more than 10,000 passengers a year, except in 2020, when ridership fell to 2,660.
General aviation carries most of the traffic. In the year to September 2018 the airport logged about 26,000 operations, 68 percent of them general aviation and 31 percent air taxi, with 41 aircraft based on the field. Two asphalt runways, 7/25 at 5,496 feet and 18/36 at 5,200 feet, handle the mix. The terminal has a check-in desk, baggage claim, security screening and rental car services. Avis operates the rental counter, and Granite Air Center is listed by the city as an aviation services provider.
