Lincoln Airport is the commercial airport for Nebraska's capital, in Lancaster County about five miles northwest of downtown. It is the state's second-largest airport and a non-hub primary commercial service airport in the FAA's national plan. The field sits at 1,219 feet and covers about 5,000 acres.

Three runways serve the field. The longest, Runway 18/36, is 12,901 feet, and the others are 14/32 at 8,649 feet and 17/35 at 5,800 feet. The airport is jointly used by civilians and the military. The Nebraska Air National Guard's 155th Air Refueling Wing flies KC-135R tankers from the field, and the aircraft maintenance company Duncan Aviation is based here. A three-phase reconstruction of the main runway began in January 2026 and is due to finish in fall 2027.

A terminal renovation known as LNK Next was completed in 2024. It brought the terminal to six gates and added two baggage-claim belts. The airport handled about 262,000 passengers in 2025, and nearly all of them flew SkyWest, which operates American Eagle and United Express flights. Breeze Airways adds nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Orlando.
