Central Nebraska Regional Airport sits about three miles northeast of Grand Island, in Hall County. It is the commercial airport for Grand Island and the farming communities of the central Platte valley. It serves a market far from any larger hub.

The site has a long aviation history. Arrasmith Field was dedicated north of the original city airfield in 1937. The U.S. Army Air Forces took the field over in the Second World War and trained heavy bomber crews here as Grand Island Army Air Field. The military closed it in October 1946 and returned it to the city for civilian use, and about a dozen wartime buildings, including several hangars, still stand. The name changed from Hall County Regional Airport to Central Nebraska Regional Airport in May 1985. The Hall County Airport Authority now runs the field.

Two concrete runways handle airline and general aviation traffic: 17/35 at 7,002 feet and 13/31 at 6,608 feet. A new passenger terminal opened in April 2016 with an enclosed jet bridge at Gate 1. Scheduled service is flown by Allegiant Air to Las Vegas and Phoenix-Mesa and by American Eagle to Dallas/Fort Worth. The airport recorded 75,920 enplanements in 2025, its busiest year on record.
