Missoula Montana Airport sits about four miles northwest of downtown Missoula, in western Montana. The Missoula County Airport Authority owns and runs it. The field opened in 1941 as Missoula County Airport and took the name Johnson-Bell Field in 1968. In September 2021 it changed its name from Missoula International Airport to Missoula Montana Airport.

The airport counted about 1,044,800 passengers in 2025, split almost evenly between 523,900 enplanements and 520,900 deplanements. Two asphalt runways serve it. Runway 12/30 is 9,501 feet long and runway 08/26 is 4,612 feet long. A 101-foot control tower, finished in 2012, guides traffic.

A new terminal replaced the old building in stages. Construction began in late 2018, the first phase opened in June 2022, and the old terminal came down in 2023. A second phase is now under way. It adds a larger baggage claim area, a rental car center and extra gates, backed by $6 million in federal funding awarded in 2024.

Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Sun Country and United fly here, with nonstop service to more than a dozen U.S. markets. Neptune Aviation, an aerial firefighting company, is also based at the field.
