Glasgow Valley County Airport Wokal Field Guide
The airport sits about one mile northeast of Glasgow in northeastern Montana. Its ICAO code is KGGW. The site began as Glasgow Army Air Field, activated on November 10, 1942.
Scheduled passenger service runs under the federal Essential Air Service program. Cape Air flies from Glasgow to Billings, where passengers connect to onward flights. Commercial service lapsed in 2008 when Big Sky Airlines went bankrupt. Great Lakes Airlines resumed it in 2009 before Cape Air took over. The airport recorded 4,201 enplanements in 2018.
The field has two grooved asphalt runways: 12/30 at 5,002 by 100 feet and 8/26 at 5,000 by 75 feet. The airport logged 8,230 aircraft operations in the year ending May 2023, about 23 a day. Fuel sold on the field includes 100LL and Jet A.
