Billings Logan International Airport Guide
Billings Logan International Airport sits on the Rimrocks, a sandstone bluff about two miles northwest of downtown Billings. It is the busiest commercial airport in Montana by passenger traffic and opened in 1928. The City of Billings owns the field, and its Department of Aviation and Transit runs it.
Three runways serve the airport: 10L/28R, 10R/28L and 07/25. Passenger numbers passed one million for the first time in 2025, with about 1,026,600 travelers counted. FAA data for 2023 showed roughly 99,700 aircraft operations. Commercial flights accounted for about 12,200 of them, with air taxi, general aviation and military flights making up the rest. UPS and several regional carriers also fly cargo through the field.
Passenger service is led by Delta, United, Alaska and Allegiant, with American Eagle and Cape Air adding regional links. Flights reach hubs such as Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Chicago. The single terminal was expanded between 2019 and 2024 and now has nine gates and eight jet bridges.
