Manistee County Blacker Airport is a public airport on Airport Road, about 3 nautical miles northeast of downtown Manistee in northwest Lower Michigan. It also serves the Ludington area and the lakeshore communities along Lake Michigan.
Contour Airlines flies two daily round trips to Chicago O'Hare, a flight of about 90 minutes. Interline agreements with American, Alaska, JetBlue and United let passengers connect onward to more than 150 destinations. Frontier Airlines served Milwaukee from the airport under the Essential Air Service program until March 2012.
Most traffic is general aviation. In the 12 months ending December 2019 the airport logged 5,315 aircraft operations, about 15 a day, of which 75 percent were general aviation and 19 percent scheduled commercial. Orchard Beach Aviation is the fixed base operator. Enterprise and National have rental car counters inside the terminal, and a single parking lot sits beside the building.
