Boise Airport (ICAO KBOI), also known as Boise Air Terminal and Gowen Field, sits about 5 km south of downtown Boise at an elevation of 2,872 feet. It is the busiest airport in Idaho. The city's airport history reaches back to 1926, when airmail service began from the older Booth Field, and the airport marks its centennial in 2026.

The terminal is a single building with two concourses and 24 gates. Concourse B holds 13 gates on the upper level, and Concourse C holds 11 on the lower level and is used mainly by Alaska Airlines. A new Concourse A of about ten gates is planned west of the existing concourses.

Boise handled 5,229,399 passengers in 2025, up from 4,990,885 in 2024, its fourth straight record year. All of its nonstop destinations are domestic. Two parallel runways, 10L/28R at 10,000 feet and 10R/28L at 9,763 feet, serve the field. A 295-foot control tower opened in 2013, and its approach control, Big Sky Approach, also covers Bozeman, Montana.

Gowen Field, the military side south of the runways, is home to the Idaho Air National Guard's 124th Fighter Wing and its A-10 aircraft. The U.S. Forest Service also uses the airport as a base for aerial firefighting tankers.
