Bradley International Airport sits in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, roughly 24 km north of Hartford and 32 km south of Springfield, Massachusetts. It is the busiest commercial airport in Connecticut and the second-busiest in New England, behind Boston Logan. The airport handled approximately 6.7 million passengers in 2024, continuing six consecutive years of growth before the pandemic interrupted that streak.

The airport shares its airfield with the 103rd Airlift Wing of the Connecticut Air National Guard, making it a dual-use civilian and military facility. Two asphalt runways handle operations averaging over 200 aircraft movements per day. A 2024 expansion added three gates, bringing the total to 25 gates across two concourses.

Bradley was named after Lieutenant Eugene M. Bradley, who died in a training accident at the site in 1941. Commercial operations began in 1947 with Eastern Air Lines. The New England Air Museum, one of the largest aviation museums in the United States, is located on the airport grounds.
