Jonesboro Municipal Airport sits about three miles east of downtown Jonesboro, in Craighead County in northeast Arkansas. The field covers roughly 1,000 acres at an elevation of 262 feet and has two asphalt runways: 5/23, at 6,200 feet, and 13/31, at 4,099 feet. The FAA classifies it as a commercial service airport.

Airline flights began in 1950 with Ozark DC-3s. Trans-Texas followed in 1961, and later carriers flew under the federal Essential Air Service program, including Mesa Airlines and Air Choice One. Southern Airways Express took over the scheduled service after Air Choice One closed in July 2022. It flies about three round trips a day to St. Louis and Nashville, with onward connections.

Most activity is general aviation. The airport logged 20,156 aircraft operations in the year ending March 2021, 87 percent of them general aviation, and 122 aircraft were based there in April 2022. An EF3 tornado destroyed a large metal building on the field in March 2020. A city commission advises on airport matters, and passenger parking is free.
