Entebbe International Airport is Uganda's only international airport, located on a peninsula on the northern shore of Lake Victoria, about 40 kilometres southwest of central Kampala. Sitting at 1,153 metres above sea level on the equator, it serves as the primary gateway for both international visitors and cargo traffic into East Africa's interior.

The airport handled 2.2 million passengers in 2024, a 16% increase over 2023, and is undergoing a major expansion programme. Phase I works included runway rehabilitation, a new cargo centre, and expanded aircraft parking. A second passenger terminal is under construction as part of Phase II, which will raise annual capacity to at least 3.5 million passengers. The airport recorded approximately 29,700 aircraft movements in 2024.

EBB dates to a grass airfield used from 1929 and was formally commissioned as a jet-capable airport in November 1951. Uganda Airlines operates it as a primary hub. Over 20 international carriers serve the airport, connecting Entebbe to hubs including Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, and Brussels.
