Seronera Airport Guide
Seronera Airstrip (ICAO: HTSN) is the main airstrip in Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. It serves the Seronera area in the centre of the park and sits at an elevation of about 1,550 metres. The Government of Tanzania owns it and Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) operates it.
The strip has a single gravel runway, 13/31, which is 2,280 metres long. There is little infrastructure on the field, and the airport has no public phone line or email contact. Visitors are told to deal with their airline or travel agent for any flight matter.
Traffic is made up of light safari aircraft and scheduled small-plane services. Coastal Aviation, Auric Air, Regional Air and Air Excel link the strip with Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro and the park's lodge airstrips. As Salaam Air, Flightlink and Precision Air are also listed as serving it, with connections to Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. Schedules differ between sources, so confirm current flights with the airline before booking.
