Hagfors Airport guide

Hagfors Airport sits in the locality of Råda, on the west side of the town of Hagfors in Värmland County. The postal address is Flygplatsvägen 13. ICAO code ESOH. The airport is a small regional field that handles scheduled and general aviation traffic.

Scheduled service runs under a Swedish public service obligation. Jonair flies the route to Stockholm Arlanda on weekdays, with two departures a day and a flight time of about 50 minutes. Tickets are sold through the airline, not the airport. The state sets minimum seat and trip levels for the route each year, which keeps a link to the capital for a part of Sweden with long road and rail journeys.

The runway is 1,510 metres of asphalt, aligned 18/36. It takes turboprop airline aircraft, air ambulance flights and light aircraft. Hagfors Flygklubb, a separate flying club, is based at the field. Instrument and commercial flights need prior permission, requested through the airport's crew information form.

A single terminal building stands beside the car park. Parking runs right up to the entrance and is free of charge. The municipality of Hagfors owns and runs the airport. Passenger numbers are low, with about 2,300 travellers in 2024, so there are no shops, lounges or on-site rental desks.
