Sogndal Airport sits at Haukåsen in Sogndal municipality, Vestland county, on high ground at 498 metres above sea level. It opened on 1 July 1971, one of four regional airports to start operating that day. Its ICAO code is ENSG.
The airport has one asphalt runway, 06/24, about 1,110 metres long and 30 metres wide. Sogndal Municipality owned the field until 1 January 1997, when it passed to the Civil Aviation Administration, now Avinor. A larger terminal was completed in 1985, and upgrades between 2004 and 2007 added safety areas, lighting, parking and a new arrival terminal.
Widerøe flies every scheduled service on public service obligation contracts, using Dash 8 aircraft. Routes go to Oslo, Bergen, Sandane and Ørsta-Volda. Passenger numbers peaked at 93,254 in 2023 and stood at 88,923 in 2025. Paid parking, taxis, car rental and an airport coach serve the terminal.
