Yokota Air Base (ICAO RJTY) is a United States Air Force installation in western Tokyo. It spreads across portions of six municipalities, with the city of Fussa at its centre. The Imperial Japanese Army built the field in 1940 as Tama Airfield, a flight test centre. US forces took it over in September 1945, and it became Yokota Air Base after the Air Force was created in 1947.

The base has one concrete runway, 3,353 metres long and 61 metres wide. The 374th Airlift Wing is the host unit and flies C-130J aircraft. The base also houses the headquarters of United States Forces Japan and Fifth Air Force, along with CV-22 Osprey special operations squadrons and the headquarters of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Air Defense Command. About 14,000 military and civilian personnel are assigned there.

Yokota does not offer public commercial flights. Its Air Mobility Command passenger terminal handles Space Available travel, Space Reserved travel and Patriot Express airlift for authorized military and Department of Defense travelers. Japan and the United States agreed in 2005 on a broad framework for civil-military use of the base, and Tokyo governors have proposed civilian flights to relieve Haneda and Narita.
