Oban Airport lies at North Connel, about 9 km northeast of Oban town centre on the Argyll coast. It is also known as Connel Airport, after the nearby village and the Connel Bridge across Loch Etive. The airfield has a single paved runway, 01/19, which measures 1,264 m.

The site began as RAF Connel, an emergency landing ground used from 1942 to 1945. It later passed to civil hands and is now owned and run by Argyll and Bute Council. The council invested in the airfield after 2005, including a resurfaced runway, a passenger building and a control tower.

The airport is a base for island air links rather than a hub for long routes. Hebridean Air Services is the only airline based here. It flies small aircraft to Coll, Colonsay and Tiree, and some services call at an island on the way. The flights connect the islands to the mainland. The airfield is also used by private pilots.

Published annual passenger and movement figures for the airport are not available, so none are given here.
