Vilo Acuña International Airport guide

Updated 2026-10-16

Vilo Acuña International Airport is the only airport on Cayo Largo del Sur, a coral island about 25 kilometres long and 3 kilometres wide off Cuba's south coast. The island has no permanent residents. Hotel staff work shifts of about 20 days and then return to nearby islands, so the airport exists almost entirely to move holidaymakers to and from the beach resorts.
