Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport guide

Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport serves Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province in northwestern China. It opened in 1970 and sits at an elevation of 1,947 metres, among the higher altitudes for a Chinese provincial-capital airport. Gansu Airport Group operates the facility, which lies within Lanzhou New Area rather than the older city centre.

A large new terminal building opened in March 2025, covering 400,000 square metres and replacing the airport's original passenger facilities. Terminal 2, the terminal it superseded, is being converted for cargo use. Spring Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan Airlines, Air China, and Sichuan Airlines operate scheduled domestic and international services, including routes to Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore.

The Lanzhou–Zhongchuan Airport intercity railway, opened in 2015, links the terminal to Lanzhou West railway station in about 38 minutes, and three shuttle bus routes also connect to the city. Cargo throughput reached roughly 86,000 tonnes in 2025, alongside passenger traffic that ranked the airport 29th busiest in mainland China by volume.
