Jinchang Jinchuan Airport guide

Jinchang Jinchuan Airport serves the city of Jinchang in central Gansu province. It sits in Shuangwan, in Jinchuan District, and opened on 29 August 2011 as the sixth civil airport in Gansu.

The airfield is a small regional field with one 3,000 m concrete runway, designated 13/31, and a single terminal building of 3,960 square metres. The runway length suits narrow-body jets such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

Traffic is light. The airport handled about 180,000 passengers and 2,395 aircraft movements in 2021, against a design capacity of 200,000 passengers a year. Scheduled flights link Jinchang with regional centres in Gansu, including Lanzhou, Jiayuguan and Dunhuang, and with larger cities such as Xi'an, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing. Airlines on the route list include China Eastern, China Southern, China Express, Juneyao Air, Tianjin Airlines and Hebei Airlines.
