Lancang Jingmai Airport guide

Lancang Jingmai Airport serves Lancang Lahu Autonomous County in Pu'er prefecture, in the mountains of southwestern Yunnan province. It stands in Donghui Township, about 30 kilometers from the Lancang county seat, at an elevation of 1,350 meters. The airport opened to traffic on 26 May 2017 and also serves the neighboring counties of Menglian and Ximeng, as well as the Jingmai Mountain tea-growing area.

The State Council and the Central Military Commission approved the project in January 2013, at an estimated cost of 1.514 billion yuan. It was designed to handle 250,000 passengers and 750 tons of cargo a year by 2020. A single 2,600-meter runway, designated 12/30, serves the field, which is classed 4C and has four aircraft parking positions. In 2021 the airport handled 419,435 passengers, 5,090 aircraft movements and about 280 metric tons of cargo.

Scheduled flights are domestic. China Eastern Airlines and Lucky Air fly to Kunming, and China Express Airlines links the airport with Guiyang and Mangshi. Xizang Airlines is scheduled to start a Chengdu Tianfu service on 25 October 2026.
