Meizhou Meixian Changgangji International Airport Guide
Meizhou Meixian Airport serves Meizhou, a city in the north-east of Guangdong province, from a site in Meijiang District about 4 km from the city centre. It began operations on 1 September 1987 and was known as Meixian Changgangji Airport until 26 April 2019. It is a Class 4C regional airport.
The airport has one asphalt runway, 04/22, which is 2,400 m long and 45 m wide, and an apron with five stands. The terminal building, including the air traffic control block, covers 8,227 square meters. The airport was designed for 300,000 passengers a year. It handled 440,283 passengers and 6,139 aircraft movements in 2021.
Scheduled flights are domestic. China Southern Airlines flies to Guangzhou, China Eastern Airlines to Shanghai Pudong, China United Airlines to Beijing Daxing, and China Express Airlines to Baotou and Changsha. City bus routes 3 and 11 run from the airport towards downtown Meizhou.
