Huizhou Pingtan Airport guide

Huizhou Pingtan Airport serves Huizhou, a city in eastern Guangdong province. It sits in Pingtan, Huiyang District, about 20 km from the city centre. The airport is dual-use, shared between civil and military aviation, and Guangdong Airport Group operates it.

Commercial flights resumed on 5 February 2015. A single concrete runway, 09/27, measures 2,400 m. The apron has eight Code C stands, and a separate cargo terminal of about 1,800 square meters handles freight. A second passenger terminal of about 16,300 square meters opened on 28 August 2019.

In 2025 the airport handled 3,365,186 passengers, 25,638 aircraft movements and 11,661 tonnes of cargo, up 18.1 percent, 17.0 percent and 24.7 percent on the year before. All scheduled services are domestic. The network covers 43 destinations, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Xi'an and Haikou.
