Qingdao Metro operates Line 8, the only metro line serving Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. Jiaodong Airport station sits underground at the terminal building's transport centre, so passengers reach the check-in area directly. Line 8 runs between Jiaozhou North Railway Station and May 4th Square, with express trains linking the airport to Qingdao North Railway Station and the city centre on ordinary metro fares.
