Jiaxing Nanhu Airport guide

Jiaxing Nanhu Airport sits in Xiuzhou District, Zhejiang province, about 8 kilometres from the centre of Jiaxing. It began as a military air base in 1936 and now operates as a dual-use field. The name was approved in June 2024, and the airport opened to civilian traffic on 26 December 2025. Zhejiang Airport Group operates it on behalf of Jiaxing City.

The airport is positioned as the Yangtze River Delta's first dedicated air cargo hub, with passenger service added alongside. YTO Cargo Airlines uses it as a hub, and 33 of its 56 aircraft stands are for freight aircraft. Design capacity is quoted at 1.8 million passengers and 1.1 million tonnes of cargo and mail a year, though one source gives a passenger figure of 500,000.

Passenger flights launched with five domestic routes run by China Eastern, China Southern and Loong Air to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Changchun. More routes, including Kunming, Chongqing and Xi'an, followed. No annual passenger statistics have been published yet.
