Wenzhou Longwan International Airport guide

Wenzhou Longwan International Airport opened on 12 July 1990 and serves the Wenzhou metropolitan area on the southeast coast of Zhejiang province. It lies about 24 km southeast of the city centre.

The airport handled 13,058,523 passengers in 2025, which made it the 35th busiest airport in mainland China. It has one runway, 3,200 m long and 45 m wide, and a second, 3,600 m runway is planned. Aircraft movements reached 93,735 that year.

Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Cathay Pacific are among more than 30 carriers that fly here. The airport serves 102 destinations, including intercontinental routes to Rome, Milan and Madrid.

In September 2019 Wenzhou became the first city in Zhejiang province to offer a zero-transfer air-to-rail connection at its airport. A Phase III expansion is planned, with a target of 30 million passengers a year by 2030 and a third terminal.
