Changzhou Benniu International Airport guide

Changzhou Benniu International Airport sits in Luoxi Town, Xinbei District, on the boundary with Lücheng Town in Danyang, Zhenjiang. It serves both Changzhou and Zhenjiang. The airfield was built in 1963 for the East Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy and opened to civil aviation on 15 March 1986. It remains a dual-use military and civil airport.

The airport has a single concrete runway, 11/29, which is 3,400 metres long. It is rated 4E, so it can handle wide-body aircraft. The current terminal and supporting facilities opened on 28 April 2011, and the new flight area came into use on 11 December 2013. The airport has been a national Class I port of entry since 2014.

Traffic has grown steadily. The city reported more than 4.5 million passengers in 2024. In 2025 the airport handled about 5.14 million passengers and 49,410 aircraft movements. Most routes are domestic, with international and regional services to Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam and Laos. Eastern Airport Group operates the airport.

The airport is about 3 kilometres from the nearest interchange on the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway. Airport bus Route 32 links it with the Changzhou railway station bus hub, passing through Zhenjiang and Danyang.
