Yangzhou Taizhou Airport guide

Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport sits in Jiangdu District, Yangzhou, Jiangsu. It serves two cities: Yangzhou, about 30 kilometres away, and Taizhou, about 20 kilometres away. Zhenjiang lies across the Yangtze River. The airport opened on 7 May 2012. During planning and construction it was known as Suzhong Jiangdu Airport.

It has one concrete runway, 17/35, which is 3,200 metres long. The runway was originally 2,400 metres. It was extended in 2018, and the airfield was upgraded to class 4E that December. The terminal covers 31,000 square metres and there are 13 aircraft parking stands. The airport was designed for 2 million passengers a year, and traffic has since passed that mark.

In 2025 the airport handled about 4.2 million passengers and 47,471 aircraft movements, plus roughly 15,000 tonnes of cargo. Service is mostly domestic, with some international flights, including to Seoul, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

Yangzhou owns 80 percent of the airport and Taizhou owns 20 percent. A second phase is under way. Its main airfield works began on 18 April 2023, and it aims to raise capacity to 10 million passengers a year by 2030.
