Changchun Longjia International Airport Guide
Changchun Longjia International Airport sits in Jiutai District of Changchun, in China's Jilin province. It opened for commercial service on 27 August 2005, replacing the older Changchun Dafangshen Airport, which reverted to sole military use the same day. Jilin Provincial Civil Aviation Airport Group Co., Ltd. operates the airport as a subsidiary of Beijing's Capital Airports Holding, an arrangement in place since 2010.
China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Air, Sichuan Airlines and Chongqing Airlines fly from Terminal 1, which also handles the airport's international and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan routes. Terminal 2 serves roughly 30 other domestic carriers, including Air China and China Eastern Airlines. The airport reached about 17.8 million passengers and 118,000 aircraft movements in 2025, with cargo throughput of about 106,500 tonnes that year.
A single concrete runway, 3,200 metres long and oriented 06/24, handles all arrivals and departures. A second parallel runway and a new terminal have been proposed for a future expansion phase, though construction had not begun as of 2025.
