Tangshan Sannühe Airport Guide
Tangshan Sannühe Airport sits near the village of Sannühe in Fengrun District, about 20 km from the centre of Tangshan in Hebei province. It is a dual-use field: the military uses it as Tangshan Air Base, and civil flights share the same runway.
Construction was approved in December 2008 and began on 26 February 2009. The airport passed its civil aviation inspection on 19 June 2010 and opened to civil flights on 13 July 2010, with Hebei Airlines operating the first route. HNA Infrastructure Investment Group is the operator. The airport closed for runway maintenance from 31 March to 27 May 2019, and again from 10 to 21 October 2023.
A single concrete runway, designated 10/28, is 2,700 m long. In 2025 the airport handled 653,045 passengers, 5,450 aircraft movements and 564.9 tonnes of cargo. Scheduled routes link Tangshan with Dalian, Xi'an, Chongqing, Guilin, Haikou, Changsha, Chengdu, Harbin, Kunming, Shanghai Pudong and Yinchuan. Construction of a second terminal was approved on 8 November 2022, with completion expected in 2027.
