Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport guide

Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport sits in Longjiadian Town, Changli County, on the Bohai coast of Hebei province. It is the civil airport for the Qinhuangdao area and handles scheduled domestic flights alongside seasonal charters to the Russian Far East.

The airport replaced Qinhuangdao Shanhaiguan Airport, a joint-use airfield dating from 1952, when civil flights moved to the new site on 31 March 2016. The project was proposed in 2004 and construction began in May 2012. Shanhaiguan was then handed back to the military.

A single 2,600 m concrete runway, designated 08/26, serves the field. The 10,592 square metre terminal was designed for 500,000 passengers and 1,200 tonnes of cargo a year. In 2025 the airport recorded 292,657 passengers, 11,365 aircraft movements and about 240 tonnes of cargo. The terminal lies about 47 km from Qinhuangdao city centre and 34 km from Beidaihe.
