Moree Regional Airport sits on the Newell Highway about 6 km south of the Moree town centre, in the cotton and grain country of north-western New South Wales. Moree Plains Shire Council owns and runs it, along with Mungindi Aerodrome and Boomi Airstrip.

The main runway is sealed, 1,613 m long and 30 m wide, with pilot-activated lighting. A 977 m cross strip handles lighter aircraft. The runway is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The site has full perimeter fencing and CCTV, and it has no security screening.

QantasLink flies the only scheduled service, with about 12 flights a week to Sydney. Passenger numbers fell from about 35,600 in 2018 to 18,073 in 2021-22, with 874 regular public transport movements in that year. The airport is also a base for agricultural and general aviation, aircraft maintenance and the Moree Aero Club.
