Armidale Regional Airport sits about 6 kilometres from the centre of Armidale, on the New England Highway in the northern tablelands of New South Wales. It serves the city and the wider New England region. The airport carries the IATA code ARM and the ICAO code YARM.

Two airlines fly scheduled services. QantasLink connects Armidale with Sydney, and Link Airways flies to Brisbane. The airport also supports general aviation, including helicopter and executive charter, air freight, aircraft maintenance, pilot training and fuel services.

Armidale Regional Council owns and runs the airport. It has two runways: sealed runway 05/23, measuring 1,738 by 30 metres, and runway 09/27, a 1,116 by 30 metre grass and gravel strip. A $10 million upgrade finished in December 2017 and delivered a new terminal building with improved check-in, baggage handling, food and beverage and retail areas. Parking is free for the first two hours, with a short-stay car park beside the terminal and a long-term car park, both paid through the EasyPark app. Avis, Hertz, Thrifty and Budget hire cars at the airport.
