Navoi International Airport guide

Navoi International Airport (ICAO UZSA) serves the Navoi Region of central Uzbekistan. It sits at an elevation of about 350 metres and has a single concrete runway, 07/25, that is 4,000 metres long. That length takes the largest freighters.

The airport is built around cargo. Korean Air began cargo flights from Navoi in 2008, and Uzbekistan Airways started its own cargo operations from the airport in May 2009. Its director has said the main focus of the airport has never been passenger traffic. Carriers named in recent coverage include Maersk, MNG, MyFreighter and FlyKhiva. A porto-franco customs regime allows duty-free storage and re-export until 1 January 2029.

Expansion work is under way. A new 16,000 square metre cargo terminal is being built next to the existing one, fuel storage is growing by 10,000 tons from a base of 15,000 tons, and a truck park for up to 50 vehicles is under construction. A maintenance, repair and overhaul centre is planned. The government targets 7,000 flight operations, 150,000 passengers and 45,000 tons of cargo a year by 2030.

Passenger flights are limited. Silk Avia has served Fergana and Tashkent, and Uzbekistan Airways has listed a Moscow service.
