Range Regional Airport Guide
Range Regional Airport sits on Highway 37 southeast of Hibbing on Minnesota's Iron Range, and it serves Hibbing and Chisholm as a joint facility. Flight training began on the site in 1928, and the municipal airport was dedicated on July 4, 1931. It was known as Chisholm-Hibbing Airport until the name changed in 2010 to reflect the wider region it serves.
Delta Air Lines offers daily service to Minneapolis-Saint Paul, flown by SkyWest. Sun Country Airlines runs charter flights to Laughlin, Nevada. The airport recorded 12,535 enplanements in 2025, up from 11,302 in 2024. Most of the roughly 28,850 annual operations in 2022 were general aviation.
The main runway, 13/31, is 6,758 feet long and has instrument landing systems at both ends. The crosswind runway, 4/22, is 3,075 feet long. The commercial terminal was dedicated on December 10, 2015, and the terminal is open daily from 4:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Rental cars and taxis are available on site.
