Orlando Sanford International Airport Guide
Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is in Sanford, Seminole County, Florida, about 32 kilometres northeast of downtown Orlando. It is a secondary commercial airport for the Greater Orlando region, separate from Orlando International Airport (MCO). The Sanford Airport Authority owns the airport and Airports Worldwide, Inc. operates it.
The site was Naval Air Station Sanford from 3 November 1942 until 1969, when it passed to civilian control. Allegiant Air is the main carrier and operates a base here, with nonstop service to more than 70 U.S. destinations. Arajet flies scheduled international service from the airport, and carriers including BermudAir and Contour Airlines also serve it. The airport handled 3,166,417 passengers in 2025, a 10.04 percent increase, and 394,203 aircraft operations.
SFB has four runways: 9L/27R at 11,002 feet, 18/36 at 6,002 feet, 9R/27L at 5,839 feet and 9C/27C at 3,578 feet. The passenger facilities are Terminal A, which handles international flights, and Terminal B, which handles domestic flights; the two are connected.
