Lake Havasu City Airport Guide

Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport sits about 10 km north of the city centre, in western Arizona close to the California and Nevada borders. It opened at its current site on 1 June 1991 and replaced the original airfield built in 1944 on Pittsburg Point. The city runs it through its Public Works department.

No airline offers scheduled passenger service. Mesa Airlines, flying as US Airways Express, served Phoenix and Las Vegas until May 2007, and Ameriflight now flies cargo to Phoenix. The nearest airports with airline service are Las Vegas Harry Reid International and Phoenix Sky Harbor.

The field handles general aviation and business aircraft. Runway 14/32 is 8,000 ft (2,438 m) long and 100 ft wide, with edge lights, runway end identifier lights and a four-light PAPI. The FAA counted 52,900 aircraft operations in the 12 months to May 2022, and the airport has more than 100 based aircraft. Two full-service fixed base operators sell Jet A and 100LL, and self-serve 100LL is available around the clock. Avis and Budget rent cars from the terminal, and Hangar 24 Brewery and Grill sits on airport property.
