Skagway Airport is a state-owned, public-use airport about 1 nautical mile northwest of downtown Skagway, at the head of the Lynn Canal in Southeast Alaska. The FAA activated the field in February 1947. Its codes are SGY (IATA), PAGY (ICAO) and SGY (FAA).

The airport has one asphalt runway, 2/20, measuring 3,550 by 75 feet. It has medium-intensity edge lights and basic markings. There is no control tower and the field is unattended. Pilots use a common traffic frequency of 122.9. The runway sits in a narrow valley, with trees close to both ends.

Alaska Seaplanes flies scheduled service from Skagway to Juneau and Haines. Juneau is the busiest route. Federal statistics for 2015 show 7,070 passengers flying to Juneau and 870 to Haines. The airport recorded about 12,500 aircraft operations in the 12 months to December 2006, around 34 a day, and most of those were air taxi flights. Skagway has no road link to Juneau, so the airport carries much of the town's passenger and freight traffic outside the ferry and the highway through Canada.
