Akutan Airport (ICAO PAUT, FAA 7AK) is a public-use airport that serves the fishing community of Akutan in the Aleutians East Borough. It does not sit on Akutan Island, where steep terrain left no room for a runway. The airfield is on neighbouring Akun Island, about 10 km east of the village, at an elevation of 129 feet. It opened in 2012 and replaced the amphibious Grumman Goose service that had linked the village to Unalaska.

The single asphalt runway, 9/27, is 4,500 feet long and 75 feet wide. It has medium-intensity edge lights, a lighted wind indicator and a beacon that runs from sunset to sunrise. RNAV (GPS) approaches serve both runway ends. There is no control tower and no fuel. Pilots use the common traffic advisory frequency 122.9 MHz, and the runway lights are switched on over that frequency.

Travellers reach the village by a short helicopter hop across the water. Maritime Helicopters flies between Akun Island and the Akutan Seaplane Base. Grant Aviation flies scheduled service to Unalaska, known as Dutch Harbor, with subsidy under the Essential Air Service program. The 2020 census counted 1,589 residents in Akutan, and the population climbs during the fish-processing season at the Trident Seafoods plant. The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities owns the airport.
