Fairbanks International Airport is a state-owned public-use airport on the west side of Fairbanks, in the Interior of Alaska. It opened in 1951 and took over scheduled airline traffic from Ladd Army Airfield. The airport handled 1,195,288 passengers in fiscal year 2025.

The airport has four runways. The main paved runway, 2L/20R, is 11,800 feet long. A shorter paved runway, a gravel strip and a water strip for floatplanes serve smaller aircraft and bush operators. Cargo is a large part of operations, with Amazon Air and FedEx Feeder flights alongside the passenger carriers.

The current terminal opened on October 11, 2009, and the older 1948 terminal was demolished afterwards. The airport is open 24 hours, and passenger screening opens two hours before the first flight each day. Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines provide the main links to the rest of the United States, while regional carriers connect villages across the state.
