Alakanuk Airport guide

Alakanuk Airport serves the Yup'ik village of Alakanuk in the Kusilvak Census Area of western Alaska. The village sits at the east entrance of Alakanuk Pass, the main southern channel of the Yukon River, about 15 miles from the Bering Sea. No roads connect it to other communities, so the airport handles most passenger, mail and freight traffic. Ice roads open in winter and barges and riverboats run in summer.
