Kayseri Erkilet International Airport guide

Kayseri Erkilet International Airport (ICAO LTAU) lies in the Kocasinan district, about 5 km north of Kayseri's centre, at an elevation of roughly 1,069 metres. It is a joint-use field: the Turkish Air Force keeps a base here, and civil flights run alongside it. Many visitors use it as the gateway to Cappadocia.

The airport has one concrete runway, 07/25, which is 3,000 metres long. It opened to public traffic on 15 November 1998, and an international terminal followed in March 2007. Pegasus Airlines and AJet both base aircraft here.

Passenger numbers rose from about 1.2 million in 2011 to 2.77 million in 2025, when the airport handled 18,081 aircraft movements. Domestic travellers made up 2,216,868 of those passengers and international travellers 548,883. Domestic routes lead mainly to Istanbul and Antalya. Seasonal and scheduled services reach cities in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and other European countries.

Public buses stop just outside the airport gates and run to the city centre. Taxis and rental cars are also available.
