Mora Airport guide

Mora–Siljan Airport (ICAO ESKM) sits on the E45, about 7 km south of Mora in Dalarna county. It serves the Siljan lake district, a region known for its winter sports and summer visitors.

The airport has one asphalt runway, 16/34, 1,814 m long and 45 m wide, long enough for Boeing 737-size aircraft. Regular flights to Stockholm Arlanda began when the airport opened in 1979. Passenger numbers fell from about 50,000 a year in the 1980s to under 10,000 in the 2010s, and scheduled service has been interrupted more than once, most recently between 2018 and 2023. Jonair has flown the Arlanda–Mora–Sveg route under a Trafikverket contract since October 2023.

AB Dalaflyget operates the airport and provides air traffic control. Mora Municipality owns it. The airfield is also the base for an ambulance helicopter. There is no bus line between the airport and Mora centre, so most visitors arrive by car or taxi.
