Göteborg Landvetter Airport opened on 3 October 1977, replacing the former Torslanda Airport closer to the city. It sits in Härryda Municipality, 25 kilometres east of central Gothenburg via Road 40. Sweden's second-largest airport, it handled 5.3 million passengers in 2024.

The airport operates a single runway (03/21, 3,300 metres) and a unified terminal, formed in 2014 when the separate domestic and international buildings were merged. The terminal has 11 air bridges and multiple bus gates handling routes to around 80 scheduled destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Stockholm Arlanda is the busiest domestic route.
